Short and to the point: use the checker only on your own domains, and treat results as one signal, not a guarantee.

1. Provider and scope

IsMyENVPublic is provided by Leon Spingler – LSP Virtual Services (see imprint). These terms apply to all use of the website and the checker. The service is free of charge.

2. Authorized use only

You may only check domains that you own or that you are expressly authorized to test by their owner. The ownership verification is a technical safeguard. It does not replace your own authorization. By running a check, you confirm that you are entitled to do so.

3. Prohibited use

  • attempting to bypass the ownership verification, rate limits or other protections,
  • using the service for reconnaissance against third parties or to prepare attacks,
  • automated mass use, or using the service as a proxy or request relay,
  • interfering with the operation or security of the service.

We may block access in the event of misuse.

4. Nature of the results

The checker tests a small, fixed set of paths at one point in time and classifies the responses automatically. A "safe" result means that no exposure was detected by this check. It is not a statement that your website is secure. Results can be affected by firewalls, CDNs, caching, redirects and server behavior. "Inconclusive" results require your own review.

5. Availability

We provide the service as is and may change, limit or discontinue it at any time. There is no entitlement to availability.

6. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence, we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper use of the service possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely), limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, liability is excluded.

7. Applicable law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
